Position Summary:

This position is responsible for selling Motorola Solutions’ products, the industry leader with a “best in class” commercial suite of hardware and software solutions. We provide technologies our customers refer to as their lifeline. Our technology platforms are in mission-critical communications, integrated two way radio solutions with video security & analytics, and managed and support services. We make our customers business operations safer and more productive.

Motorola Solutions experience is a plus but we will train the right candidates who demonstrate the drive and passion that we are looking for.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Comfortable with establishing initial relationships using “in the field cold-calling” versus relying on the internet, phone and email as a means of first contact.
  • Achieve (and exceed) established sales goals and retention rates by managing and maintaining customer relationships and contract transactions throughout project timelines.
  • Stay up to date with technology and regulatory changes, competitive trends, market behavior and competitors in order to understand the rapidly changing tides and sell against them.
  • Meet deadlines on required internal documents and reports, attend all scheduled meetings, ask questions and take notes.
  • Maintain positive mental health and appearance by combating any perceived negativity or rejection with a keen sense of humor, wit and positivity.
  • Love what you do!

Experience:

  • Products and service knowledge of RF and telecommunications
  • Preferred technical skills related to design and services.
  • Demonstrated success in telecommunications sales to end-user customers, including strategic and small to large sized customers using relationship management and system sales concepts.

Required Skills:

  • Strong field experience and capable of developing successful relationships with prospects, targets, and client base.
  • Willing to work competitively with an intense desire to be the best, reach goals and gain positive results.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills, analytical abilities, and aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Good communicator and team player with a proactive approach, positive attitude and strong sense of self-motivation, accountability, and responsibility.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.

Travel:

This position is expected to travel regularly within the designated territory (approx. 75 mile radius). A valid Florida Driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

The Field Technician will install Public Safety Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and radio systems for our customer projects. This position will require running coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, and network cable.

The Field Technician will assist the Lead Technician and/or Project Lead to meet our project objectives and ensure safety and quality control throughout each of our customer projects.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installing DAS, radio and wireless equipment using any combination of cable, connectors, external and internal antennas, and other appropriate components.
  • Completing job related documentation and reports.
  • Communicating and coordinating with Lead Technicians and Project Leads.
  • Keeping informed on safety standards and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Experience:

  • Required to have a valid driver’s license.
  • Prefer 1-2 years of installation experience in DAS, electrical, security alarm, fire alarm or video surveillance systems.
  • Prefer experience with RF or Wireless systems.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other project documentation.
  • Experience and skill using a variety of hand tools in a construction environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
